Actor Yoo Seung Ho is all set to appear as the lead with singer-turned-actress, Lee Hyeri from Girl’s Day in an upcoming period drama, tentatively titled ‘When Flowers Bloom, Think Of The Moon’ helmed by KBS2.
Set against the backdrop in the period of Joseon history with the strongest prohibition law, it’s touted to highlight the lives of four individuals around alcohol and prohibition which turns into friendship and later love, seemingly.
Talking about Yoo Seung Ho who will be seen as a supervisory officer named Nam Young with ‘outstanding’ looks. Man of principles, he starts a new life in Hanyang where he meets his Kang Ro Seo (Hyeri).
On the other hand, Hyeri as Kang Ro Seo begins alcohol making in order to pay off her debt. Opposite to her innocent appearance, she is seen as someone who is not afraid of hard work when money is involved. While people talk behind her about losing out as an aristocrat, she is the only hope for her family in dept.
Reports also suggest that ‘Record Of Youth’ fame Byeon Woo Seok and ‘Hotel Del Luna’ actress Kang Mi Na has also been roped into this project. However, there’s still no confirmation from the actors as their respective agencies are still in talks with the offer.
The historical drama is helmed by ‘Doctor Prisoner’ director Hwang In Hyuk and penned by scriptwriter Kim Joo Hee. While the script reading of the project has been recently wrapped up, the shooting will begin this month. It’s scheduled to air via KBS 2TV in the second half of this year.
